Anyone else sick and tired of being told this? 👀
⠀
I get it. Consistency sounds great, but when you’re juggling work, family, and all the chaos of life, it can feel like just another thing you’re failing at.
⠀
So here’s some helpful things you can DO instead of spinning your wheels trying to “be consistent”:
⠀
1️⃣ Pick a realistic schedule—forget “perfect.” Start with a couple of workouts a week that you know you can stick to, even on a busy week.
⠀
2️⃣ Stack your habits by pairing your workout with something you already do, like putting on your gym shoes right after you drop the kids off at school.
⠀
3️⃣ Keep it simple. You don’t need an hour or a fancy plan. A few exercises, some dumbbells or kettlebells, and 20 minutes can work wonders.
⠀
4️⃣ Track your wins with a habit tracker or journal to celebrate every small step. Showing up matters more than being perfect.
⠀
5️⃣ Join a program that fits your life. Stop trying to figure it all out on your own. Having a plan (and a coach) keeps you moving forward, even when life gets Lifey.

💙 Because consistency isn’t about doing it all. It’s about showing up for yourself in small, doable ways—over and over.

Most of society (and some coaches 👀) tell you that what you crave is in the After Picture, the lower weight, the leaner body. That if you aren’t working hard enough, hustling, and grinding, that you can’t have what you desire.

These beliefs aren’t yours and go wildly unchecked. Manipulating your body simply to meet the expectations of society while “shoulding” all over yourself is a practice you would never recommend to others, so why adopt it for yourself?

My question to my clients and to you is - WHAT DO YOU TRULY DESIRE?

If you stop and examine the messaging, it’s pretty clear that this way of “achieving” is steeped in patriarchy and for the fitness industry - diet culture.

If you stop and ASK yourself what you truly desire, typically it’s answers like - time, freedom, to feel sexy, at ease, strength, to show myself compassion, kindness, grace.

There will always be a new version of an “after pic” to chase, a body part we are taught to not be happy with. That’s not you. That’s your external world and conditioning.

The work begins with cultivating a deep love for yourself NOW, AS IS.

This is a reclaiming OF you, FOR you.

Not for an after pic, or number on a scale, or a number on the barbell.
⠀
The goal is to calibrate each day and tune IN to your present state. I hope you feel at home in the one body you got. I want you to feel at peace, to feel freedom, and Joy, and to know your deep power.

Taking care of you is not a “nice to do” it’

Taking care of you is not a “nice to do” it’s a “must do.”
Liberation is a community effort made by individuals. And if you’re not taking care of you, how do you expect things to change 🤷‍♀️

The thing with oppression is that it’s sneaky. You think it’s YOU, so you spin your wheels harder. It just keeps you distracted from the things that TRULY matter.

So it’s not indulgent to take care of yourself. Because it’s not just about you. It’s about all of us. We are interconnected. And when you remember that Truth, you know you are never alone.
.
Whatever comes this week, remember to breathe. You’re strong, capable, and resilient. You are not in this alone. Taking care of yourself right now is not only okay— it’s necessary.

My take - some people get to start half way up the mountain 👀 ⛰️

Don’t forget that sht like this OF COURSE takes hard work, dedication and sacrifice.
AND
👉 It lacks context (and perspective).
Time, money, and resources are all privileges that not everyone has the same access to.

And I just can’t get on board with the “if you work hard enough” narrative.
.
So yeah, do Epic shit… and then make sure you are doing the work so that others also have the access that you do.
